JD INDUSTRIAL SPRAY PAINTERS CC is a family owned specialised industrial spray painting entity operating since 2001. We are a SMME with a level 4 BBBEE. We have two spray painting workshops that operates in Gauteng, our Springs operation operates from Liebherr Africa’s premises for over 20 years and focus on yellow plant machinery, tower cranes and cement truck mixers in the mining and construction sectors. The Brakpan operation is specialising in sand blasting and spray painting services the rolling stock and military markets mostly with State Owned Entities. OUR MARKET OFFERING/ SERVICES The core business from the Springs division mainly service Liebherr Africa from small components to complete machines, new imports and reconditioned Liebherr Africa products. Our output from this facility is in excess of 1000 different various heavy duty excavating and mining machines, • More than 100 cement mixers trucks, • More than 20 extra heavy duty (over 50tons) trucks, • More than 50 mobile cranes. • This facility consist of state of art 3000 square meter double volume spray booth with heat control and baking up to 60 degrees. Our Brakpan facility is our newest capital expansion project for mainly our State Owned Entities. This facility is mainly to cater for a project to sand blast and spray paint a military project that originated from Patria, Finland and we are the only accredited spray paint company in South Africa by Patria to do this specific product. We also do a lot of components for the rolling stock market local and export. It is in this facility that we envisage our future growth. This facility consist of a 1200 square meter double volume factory with a 100 square meter spray booth and 100 square meter sand blasting room. OUR KEY PEOPLE CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (100% Shareholding) Johannes Andries De Jager – (JOHAN) Johan qualified as a tradesman through Olifantsfontein during 1984. He gained his experience within big companies but always done his own private work after hours and on weekends. He resigned from his permanent position in 1996 and started his first business as a sole owner of JD Electrical. After rapid growth he expanded his business interest during 2001 by registering two new businesses, JD INDUSTRIAL SPRAY PAINTERS cc and GJD TRANSPORTCC. From a 1person self-employed in 1996, his businesses now employ 30 persons. GROUP GENERAL MANAGER (Involve since inception) Petrus Cornelius Bouwer – (Piet) Piet Is a Qualified professional accountant and a member of SAIPA since 1989. He is also a registered professional tax practitioner. Piet was Tax practitioner and auditor for all Johan’s businesses since 1996. Piet completed his training and articles with Gold Fields S A and has 25 years of management experience within manufacturing and mining industries. He also ran his own businesses since 2000 and served on various boards of directors. He joined JD INDUSTRIAL SPRAY PAINTERS CC on a permanent basis during January 2017.
